We are no longer building saddle trees, but we have two videos about how Western saddles fit horses available on our westernsaddlefit.com website.
So, what is happening around the shop in 2015? Well, we have recently rawhided saddle trees drying on their marble surface.
We have Rod pounding the seams on said saddle trees twice a day.
We have recently made trees that have been recently varnished to water proof them before rawhiding. This one is a 13” wide Modified Association.
And this one is a 9” Wade. (Always gotta have at least one of those kicking around…)
We have rawhide thawing in water in buckets in the back room, getting ready to be used on said recently varnished saddle trees in the near future.
We have finished trees waiting for payment before they can be shipped out. (That’s a 3B in the front and a Louellen barrel racer behind it.)
We have trees in the process of being packed to be shipped out. (I did a town trip today and shipped off four of them.)

Looks a lot like 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, and the 14 years before that - especially the Rod goofing around part…
But what we learn this year will be different. We constantly learn new things about horse and saddles and trees and riders and how they all work together – because there is always more to learn!
